Final Star Wars

Written by Sam Brower

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is the final movie in the Star Wars franchise and will be bringing the story to an end. The Rise of Skywalker will follow the events that happened in Star Wars: The Last Jedi which came out two years ago. The movie will be directed by J.J. Abrams, who directed The Force Awakens, while The Last Jedi was directed by Rian Johnson. Rise of Skywalker will also include characters from the original trilogy, including Billy Dee Williams playing Lando and Ian McDiarmid returning to play Emperor Palpatine. Princess Leia will also be in the movie using CGI to recreate the character with permission from Carrie Fisher’s family. Even though this may be the final Star Wars movie, there will still be plenty of Star Wars content to come out, including the first live action TV show “The Mandalorian” which will start streaming on Disney+ on Tuesday, Nov 12th. The future of Star Wars may be on the small screen for a while, but the universe will continue to be explored. The movie may also explain who Ray’s parents are and why she can use the force. From the look of the final trailers, Ray is practicing using a lightsaber and using the force along with a dark sith version of herself appearing. The last time Ray used the force was in The Last Jedi after training with Luke Skywalker, referencing Luke’s training with Yoda from the original trilogy. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is expected to be the biggest Star Wars movie yet, with theaters selling out when tickets first went on sale last month.
