World of online shopping

Written by Mackenzie Devlin

With the expansion of technology, online shopping has become an integral part of our society. Online shopping may have many advantages, but there are also some disadvantages. Online shopping allows consumers to shop at any time of the day-and they can even shop in their pajamas! Shoppers save on gas and do not have to worry about parking, traffic, crowds or waiting in long lines.

Disadvantages include the inability to try on items, which leads to complicated online returns. Ordering items may include a longer wait time, which leads to problems if you need something by a certain time. It may also be hard for shoppers to decide if a website is legitimate or not.

Online shopping has even expanded to grocery shopping, an advantage for older people who can not get around very well. People who do not enjoy grocery shopping can order their groceries online and all they have to do is come by the store to pick them up. The elderly use online grocery delivery systems because it is very convenient for them. They are able to order their groceries online and have them delivered straight to their house without having to worry about the stressors associated with shopping in-store. Because online shopping has become so integral to our society, it is important to examine and understand the disadvantages, as well as the advantages.
